The New Mexico Department of Health encourages residents in San Juan County with internet access to use the Department of Health’s “Should I Be Tested” screening tool to determine their need for COVID-19 testing from now to Thursday.
Once completed, if testing is recommended, call (505) 327-4461 and press 9 to speak to a clerk to schedule an appointment for sample collection and testing.
Residents who cannot access the health department’s online screening tool are encouraged to call the San Juan Public Health Office at the same number to speak with a nurse to determine their need for COVID-19 testing. Nurses will also be able to provide education and recommendations about isolation. For the safety of the community, citizens requesting testing should not drive to the public health office.
Testing will be provided for these individuals: people experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 infection, including fever, cough or shortness of breath; and people who have recently traveled from Europe, China, Iran, South Korea or U.S. states with confirmed community spread.
For health-related questions, call (855) 600-3453. For non-health-related questions, call (833) 551-0518 or visit www.newmexico.gov.
