Every time I drive through our airport parking lots, I see lots of New Mexico license plates. One reason for this is that the longest runway at the Farmington airport is quite a bit shorter than our runway and can’t be extended because that airport is located atop a relatively small mesa. So the larger commercial jets have to come here as well as their Farmington customers. If we have to expand our terminal, shouldn’t New Mexico help out?
