Salon B has opened at 581 E. Colorado Drive in Bayfield, the building behind Wells Group Real Estate. Owner Nicola Chenowith and hair stylist Heather Miller have worked together for about five years and were previously at Salon del Sol, which closed late last year.
Chenowith has 25 years of styling experience, starting in her native England. Miller has been a hair stylist for eight and a half years. Also working at Salon B are hair stylist Stacey Pundik and nail technician Shannon White.
They work with women, men, and kids. "We offer hair cuts and color, skin care including waxing and facials, and manicures, pedicures, gel nails and gel polish," Miller said. "This is our 12th week in business. It's going great. We've been very busy. We took the old Salon del Sol phone number (884-8501) which helped us keep all our clients."
They are open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Miller said walk-ins are welcome if they can be fit into the schedule.
"If they want a hair cut and color, they should call (for an appointment), but usually we can get the men in," she said.
