Fourteen windows were smashed New Year’s Eve night at First Baptist Church in Durango, according to the Durango Police Department.
The vandalism was reported about 8 a.m. Sunday, said Lt. Ray Shupe with the Durango Police Department. The windows were in the rear. No cost estimate had been made as of Tuesday, Shupe said.
It didn’t appear anyone entered the building at 332 E. 11th St., he said.
It was not immediately known what was used to break the windows. Police photographed some footprints, but as of Tuesday they had little evidence and no suspects.
Anyone with information can call dispatch at 385-2900 or Crimestoppers at 247-1112.
A phone message left with the church seeking more information was not immediately returned Tuesday.
