Helen Ballantine Healy
Helen Ballantine Healy is a past board member who has been succeeded by her and her husband Ed’s oldest child, Morley.
Helen spent a summer in the hot-type back shop, setting headlines, and had a supporting family role as a route carrier. She saw her parents’ love for the community, and for the Herald.
Helen lives in Wichita, Kansas, and is a thorough newspaper reader. She believes the Herald’s coverage of the 32nd Street underpass led to more local involvement, as is happening with the selection of a location for the fire district's downtown station.
