Bread for Manna, a special benefit gala, will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Manna Soup Kitchen at 1100 Avenida del Sol in Durango.

With the closing of Peaceful Spirit in Ignacio, a new chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous is meeting in town, and the chapter's name is "We're not Saints." Bayfield Parks and Recreation will host youth basketball for fifth and sixth graders from Oct. 27 through Dec. 1. Registration is $35 per player and due at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28.
