Athletic physicals for this year's middle and high school athletes will be available from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4 at Ignacio Middle School.
The physicals are valid for all sports in the 2017-2018 season. The cost is $30.

Wolfwood Refuge, a wolf and wolf-dog rescue facility, will return to Vallecito Lake for an event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 5 at Five Branches Camper Park, 4677 County Road 501, Bayfield.
Community members are encouraged to meet the animals and hear educational talks about wolves.
Lunch will be served at noon for a $5 suggested donation.
The event is free and open to all.

Pine River Library will offer a workshop about its technology resources from 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 2. The library is located at 395 Bayfield Center Drive.
Participants will learn how to navigate the library website, reserve e-books on personal devices and use services, such as printing, electronic-device lending, photo and slide scanning, and on-site computers.

Bayfield Parks and Recreation will host youth fall soccer and flag football, with practice starting Sept. 4 and games on Sept. 9.
Flag football is for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, soccer is for three years though eighth grade.

There will be a hymn sing-along, followed by an ice cream social. Other area churches are participating, and the public is invited to attend.
