Bazaar on Saturday in Allison

The Allison-Arboles Old-Fashioned Holiday Bazaar is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Allison Grange at 2622 CR 329.

The Grange is located 12.5 miles from Ignacio on Colorado Highway 151.

Santa visiting Lewis True-Value

There will be free visits and photos with Santa Claus from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 at Lewis True-Value Mercantile in Bayfield.

Mercy holding Christmas Service

Mercy Regional Medical Center's Blue Christmas Service will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 in the Mercy chapel.

The service is designed for those who find Christmas difficult because of the death or estrangement of a loved one, unemployment, loneliness, illness, loss of a pet or other hardship. The 30-minute service led by Mercy chaplains will offer readings, a time of remembrance and hope, live music and a healing message from a guest speaker. All are invited.

Local authors, holiday goodies at library

Pine River Library is providing patrons with a chance to buy local and read local this holiday season.

Local authors will be at the library selling and signing their books from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will also be an open mic, hors d'oeuvres, and general holiday cheer! The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the library. For more information, call 884-2222.

Pine River Shares Solstice dinner

Pine River Shares will hold its annual Winter Solstice dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pine River Senior Center. All are welcome, and desserts and side dishes are appreciated, but not required.

Volunteers will host the famous "Grown Up Gift Shop" for kids to select and wrap gifts for parents and/or special adults in their lives.
