After 220 minutes of play in the last week, No. 25 Fort Lewis and No. 7 Colorado Mines couldn’t decide a winner.
Last Friday, the two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference powerhouses played to a 1-1 draw at Dirks Field. Just a week later, Friday night in Golden, they played to a 0-0 draw.
The Orediggers outshot Fort Lewis 23-15 but both goalkeepers made nine saves. It was Skyhawks freshman goalkeeper Elliot Chadderton’s sixth shutout of the season.
Tamino Kroeger led the way with four shots, three of which ended up on goal.
Laurin Weiland was issued two yellow cards, forcing FLC to play with 10 men most of the overtime. He will be unavailable in the next match.
Next up for Fort Lewis is a match at 11 a.m. Sunday in Lakewood against Colorado Christian.
