With the recent and accelerating trend towards local reservoirs banning motorized boating to control the spread of invasive species (Herald, April 27), why do the powers that be still plan on motorized recreation on Lake Nighthorse?
Since funding is an issue, and manning an inspection station expensive, couldn’t a plan for a non-motorized reservoir move forward?
During the public comment timeframe a very large number of people asked for a human-powered or wakeless resource.
Time to move forward in that direction, and possibly the lake will be open before 2020.
