I have had the locks on my storage units cut twice. The first time, my snowblower was stolen and things gone through. The second time, nothing was taken as far as I can tell. What I would like to know is why I keep getting told by the La Plata County Sheriff’s Department that there is nothing they can do! They obviously do not know how to take fingerprints in the field because I was told they can’t print any of the things the thieves touched. I was also told because the storage units where I rent don’t have cameras they can’t do anything. Is it that because I am currently on probation my right to feel safe in this county is null and void?
