The city of Durango will conduct its regular biennial council election April 6. Three council members are to be elected at-large to represent all residents of the city.
The top three vote-getters from the final field of candidates will be elected to four-year terms beginning April 20.
To appear on the April 6 ballot, candidates must submit a nomination petition, which must be circulated for signatures from at least 25 registered electors who live in the city of Durango. Nominating petitions can now be obtained at the City Clerk’s Office. Completed petitions must be returned to the city clerk no later than 3 p.m. Feb. 8.
