Two seats are up for election on the Ignacio School Board. Elections are on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Two directors will be elected for four-year terms. To qualify, a candidate must have been a registered voter and resident of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
Interested candidates must file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 25 eligible electors who are registered to vote and live in the district.
Nomination petitions may be obtained at the Ignacio School District Administration Office, at 455 Becker St. Office hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Completed petitions are due on Sept. 1.
