I totally agree with the letters from John Montle (Herald, April 21) and Keith Byington (Herald, April 22 ) that the Herald has really gone cheap and “Podunk” by eliminating sports line scores and stats.
You have an article about how the Rockies powered over the Giants, but there was no way of knowing that the Rockies are now first in their division, and that they have won as many games as any team in the league (I had to dig that out of the N.Y. Times). That’s significant news!
Having to shrink the Herald is one thing, but catering the sports section to students and alumni of local schools ignores many of your readers’ interests.
How do you plan to cover the Broncos once football season starts? Good luck with that!
