Nov. 9 felt like Sept. 11. The world looks and feels different now. It feels unsafe. My perception is heightened to guard against an emergency. I wish I were in another universe.
Those who supported this wart on the soul of humanity face history’s judgment. Their vote traded decency for decrepitude, leadership for megalomania and democracy for dictatorship.
I will personally hold those who supported our next president of the United States responsible when his grasp for power exceeds the bounds of our cherished democracy. The future of the free world lies in the balance of his actions. We should all be vigilant. We must rule from the grass-roots; stick to our principles and apply all manner of checks and balances.
I will rededicate myself by transferring my anguish to assisting people in their personal healing. That will be my prayer and purpose to maintain my equanimity.
