Tuesdays, 2 p.m.: Baby Storytime. For infants to 18 months. Music, stories, fingerplays, counting rhymes and playtime.

Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.: Toddler Storytime. Stories, songs, rhymes and other activities for children ages 2-3. Storytime lasts about 30 minutes, with a craft afterward.

Fridays, 10:30 a.m.: Preschool Storytime. Stories, songs, rhymes and other activities for children ages 3-5.

All month long: National Novel Writing Month at Durango Public Library. Participants attempt to write a 50,000-word manuscript between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30. The library will provide a designated space for writers all month on the second floor in the reading room.

Nov. 1, 3:30 p.m.: STEAM Lab: Lego club. STEAM- based activities. This week: Lego Club. Follow the daily challenge or get creative with your own idea.

Nov. 6, 10:30 a.m.: Early Literacy Playdate. Explore early literacy and learning through hands-on sensory activities. For children ages 0-5. First Wednesday of every month.

Nov. 6, 4 p.m.: Teen Time. Trivia. For middle and high schoolers. A selection of trivia based on books, pop culture, science and more. Prizes for first- and second-place winners.

Nov. 6, 6 p.m.: Durango Diaries: Photography. Three photographers will share the stories behind their favorite photographs and how they work to create the perfect frame. Storytellers will include: Allison Ragsdale, Frank Comisar and Jerry McBride.

Nov. 7, 8 a.m.: Starting Your Own Business seminar. A 5-hour seminar about various aspects of starting a business. Speakers: Mary Shepherd, Jack Llewellyn, Paul Broderick, Coelene O’Kane, John Lopez, Lindsey Nicholson, Ben Frihauf and Brian Rose. Register online ($25 fee).

Nov. 8, 3:30 p.m.: STEAM Lab: Catapults. Using craft sticks, create a catapult and practice launching it.

Nov. 9, 10:30 a.m.: Sensory Storytime. For children on the autism spectrum and families who are looking for a smaller, more adaptive library experience. Storytime is 30 minutes followed by sensory activities.

Nov. 20, 6 p.m.: Durango Diaries: Forever Young. As the population ages, no one seems to be slowing down. Hear from three retirees who are still pursing active lifestyles. Storytellers will include National Senior Games swimmer Kathy Kronwall, 82; Pilates teacher Diane Legner, 80; and skiing expert Major Lefebvre, 70.

Nov. 22, 3:30 p.m.: STEAM Lab: Snowflakes. Make paper snowflakes, craft a snowflake out of geometric shapes or 3D materials. Focus on creating symmetrical patterns found in nature.

Nov. 23, 11 a.m.: International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. Survivors may come together to find connection, understanding and hope through their shared experience. An AFSP-produced documentary that offers a message of growth, resilience and connection will be featured.

Thursdays, 3:30 p.m.: Pop-Up Programs. The library provides the stuff and teens make up the program.

Fridays, 3:30 p.m.: Food Fridays. The library will put together after-school food programs to help young people learn about budgeting, food nutrition and making creative and diverse dishes.
