Now no fee for gluten-free website

Durango couple Greg and Jan Phillips launched a national paid website last spring for those interested in adopting a gluten-free diet.

Now they’ve made their information-packed site, glutenfreedomproject.com, free to all comers.

You won’t be surprised to learn that subscriptions have jumped and the site is fast approaching 1,000 readers.

The Phillipses made the change to quick-start the business they’re hoping will become a national treasure trove of information for those who can’t or don’t wish to consume wheat, barley and rye, which contain gluten. They’ll rely on advertising from food producers instead.

So, why are so many folks going gluten free?

“We ask people that, and they say they’re trying to lose weight and eat healthier,” said Greg Phillips.

Information is power and the Gluten Freedom Project can help.
