Another poll reflects the political damage done to President Obama by the botched health care rollout.
A Washington Post/ABC News poll says 55 percent of respondents now disapprove of Obama’s performance, the worst rating of his presidency; 44 percent “strongly disapprove” of the way Obama is handling his job.
Obama’s approval rating is 42 percent, tied for his all-time low and a drop of six points over the past month.
As with other surveys, the fall of Obama’s numbers can be traced problems with the health-care website and canceled policies.
“Opposition to the new health-care law also hit a record high in the survey, with 57 percent saying they oppose the president’s most significant domestic initiative.
Forty-six percent say they are strongly against it. Just a month ago, the public was almost evenly divided in its assessments of the law.
“Disapproval of Obama’s handling of the health-care law’s rollout stands at 63 percent, with a majority saying they strongly disapprove. Last month, 53 percent disapproved.”
