Ode to Minnesota’s resistance

They came with boots stomping the ground.

They came with guns unholstered.

They came with force to dominate.

With no intent to bolster.

The throngs of marchers were strong and peaceful.

The thugs in green, empowered,

Armed with guns and cans of spray.

“Use it!” said Orange from his gilded tower.

Lawful acts with no abuse

Are few and far between –

Directly spraying into faces

By untrained cowards dressed in green.

But Minnesota, you stood tall,

For that we all are proud.

Until the thugs have left for good,

Stay warm, stay strong, stay loud.

The fact that two were put to death,

And still you all stood strong,

With signs, raised fists and bravery –

Don't stop 'til ICE is GONE.
