On climate change, get contraception

Regarding Bret Stephens’ column Jan. 3 (“

If everyone in this world had solar panels, screwed in LED light bulbs and drove electric cars, the climate would still get hotter and hotter faster and faster because we have not addressed the biggest reason for the continued heating of our planet.

It is our ever-increasing population.

Declining numbers of people is our only hope.

Putting clinics in schools and all over our towns and cities to make contraception available as well as over-the-counter contraceptive meds in drug stores would help as well as publicly calling for families to have no more than two children.

If all this was in place, it would still probably take a couple of hundred years before the climate warming would abate or even lessen.
