Open house to address what’s next in 416 Fire burn area

An open house about what’s next for the 416 Fire burn area will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

The evening will begin with a short panel discussion and include participants from the San Juan National Forest, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Fort Lewis College, La Plata County’s Office of Emergency Management and San Juan Basin Public Health. They will cover recreation, fish populations, water quality, debris flow management and forest recovery.
