A Community Garden Open House will be held from 1-3 p.m. May 6 at the Needham School Garden, 2425 West Third Ave.

The event marks the new partnership between the school and Ohana Kuleana Community Garden, previously located at 564 E. 30th St. below Riverview Elementary School. In addition to raising produce in raised beds at Needham, OK gardeners will help with the creation of a wildflower meadow to attract pollinator.

The event also commemorates the legacy of the late Marye Jackson, a founder and longtime supporter of the OK Garden.
