Volunteers from around Bayfield will gather to kick off the Samaritan’s Purse project’s collection season by packing shoeboxes with toys, school supplies and hygiene items at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 17 in Berry Hall at Calvary Presbyterian Community Church, 89 E. Mill St.
Operation Christmas Child is a global project that shares the true meaning of Christmas with children around the world. These gift-filled shoeboxes will contribute to the project’s global goal of reaching more than 11 million children in Jesus’ name.
Participants may donate $9 per shoebox online through “Follow Your Box” and receive a tracking label to discover its destination.
The packing party will follow the 10 a.m. worship service. All are welcome at the worship service.
