Three very different job fairs are coming up that we hope are successful in making worker and job matches. Wednesday, Dec. 8, Peak Food & Beverage which recently added Home Slice to its other properties, Steamwork’s, El Moro and Bird’s, has a fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Steamworks. Starting wage of $13 to $18 plus tips is advertised.
On Thursday, Dec. 9, Centura Mercy Hospital will have a fair from 3 to 6 p.m. at the hospital in Three Springs. An RSVP is required on the hospital’s website. The possibility of receiving a sign-on bonus of $20,000 is an incentive.
And on Wednesday, Dec. 15, Durango School District 9-R will have a fair at its administration building between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Numerous openings are listed, including counselors, food services, administrative assistants and bus drivers. The Colorado Workforce Center will be present to assist, as will the Public Education Business Coalition for those with a bachelor’s degree who are considering teaching.
Identifying the right person for the right job is a challenge today, with individuals rethinking what they want their day – and their future – to be like.
There should be something for everyone.
