Our view: Thanks for the poetry, it’s always welcome

Two hundred fifty words are not needed

When feelings are over flowing

Add a rhyme or two will do

Points made

And shared

Brevity of sentence but not of message rare and worthy

April submissions gave readers “never in dominance or possession,” “an ode to a husband and to kids,” “the language police,” “fairy tales often tell us a universal truth” and an “erased free speech and freedom,” and more.

Although the month has come and gone

Your creations bring joy year- round

A counter to the always frequent prose

Is a welcome tap on the nose. Write.
