Seniors Outdoors! announces activities

Seniors Outdoors! will host these activities:

A difficult 10-mile hike in Upper Hermosa Creek to the second bridge will take place Friday. Poles are helpful for water crossings. The trail is not steep but is rated hard because of length. Net elevation gain is 100 feet. Early turn-backs are OK with a partner. A carpool will be available for $6. Four-wheel-drive vehicles are suggested, and dogs are OK. A moderate 6- to 8-mile hike to Fourmile Falls will meet at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Elevation gain is 800 feet. A carpool is available for $9. To RSVP, call Sandy Hoagland at 247-3678 or email swhoagy@live.com.

A difficult 8-mile hike from Cascade Creek to Coal Bank Pass will take place Monday. The hike will travel to Engineer Plateau on the Engineer Mountain Trail, then go down to Coal Bank on the Pass Creek Trail. Elevation gain is 2,700 feet. Dogs are OK. A carpool is available for $5. The Wednesday Wanderers will meet at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday for a moderate 6-mile hike Missionary Ridge to the radio towers. Access will be from County Road 240. Elevation gain is 1,100 feet. Dogs are not allowed. Nonmembers should RSVP to Cheryl Berglund at 247-9747.

A moderate 8-mile hike to the second waterfall on the Cascade Creek Trail will take place June 14. Dogs are OK, and carpool is available for $4. To RSVP, call Susan Beck-Brown at 375-0948 or email sbeckbrown@yahoo.com.
