Seniors Outdoors announces activities
Seniors Outdoors will offer these activities:
A moderate backpack trip of 12 miles with 2,900 feet elevation gain to Jewel lakes (Ruby, Emerald and Pear) will take place Saturday and Sunday. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is necessary. To RSVP, call John Martin at 247-2581 or email john@martintelephone.com.
A hard backpack trip into Emerald Lake via Cave Basin of about 12 to 18 miles will take place from Tuesday to Aug. 23. Dogs are allowed. For more information, call Jim Shadid at 884-4612 or email shadid@wildblue.net.
An easy 3-mile hike to Spud Lake will take place Wednesday. Dogs on a leash are allowed. Nonmembers should RSVP to Eric Pahlke at 247-1130.
A hard hike of 4 miles with 2,600 feet elevation gain to Hematite Lake or 7 miles and 3,800 feet elevation gain to Macomber Peak will take place Wednesday. Dogs are allowed. To RSVP, email Nancy Federico at fortfed@gmail.com or call 259-1949
A hard backpack trip of 9 miles with 4,160 feet elevation gain to Ice Lakes and Vermillion Peak will take place Wednesday and Thursday.
