A hike of La Plata Canyon will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday. This will be a moderate hike of 3 to 4 miles on a four-wheel-drive road or a mountain trail. Participants should bring water and lunch. The cost to carpool is $3. Dogs are allowed if people are driving their own car.
