Senior Outdoors announces activities
Senior Outdoors will offer these activities:
A Monday bike ride for intermediate road cyclists will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday. This is a no-drop, social ride of 16 miles (round-trip) from Home Depot to Bread. The group will meet in the south parking lot at Home Depot. A hike of Smelter Mountain will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. The hike will be at a moderate pace. Dogs on leashes will be allowed. The cost to carpool is $1. To RSVP, email Steve Krest at skrest@earthlink.net.
The Wednesday Wanderers will hike the Animas River Trail at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Every Wednesday through the winter the group will walk the river trail from Santa Rita to Home Depot and back. No RSVP is required. Dogs must be on a leash. For more information, call Eric Pahlke at 247-1130.
Vallecito Nordic to host fundraiser
The annual fundraiser and party to support the Vallecito Nordic Ski Club’s grooming operation at Vallecito will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at Carver Brewing Co., 1022 Main Ave.
There will be a membership sign-up, silent auction. live music by the Six Dollar String Band, and a drawing for a Nordic ski package from Pine Needle Mountaineering.
