A climb of Kendall Mountains will take place at 7 a.m. Tuesday. The hike will be at a moderate pace. The cost to carpool is $9. Dogs are allowed. To RSVP, call Nancy Federico at 259-1049 or email fortfed@gmail.com.

A Monday bike ride for intermediate road cyclists will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday. This is a no-drop, social ride of 16 miles (round-trip) from Home Depot to Bread. Participants will meet in the south parking lot at Home Depot. A 4 County Marker (intersection of La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores, San Juan counties) stroll will take place at 9 a.m. Monday. Participants will learn the history of the 4 County Marker, and take a short hike along the Colorado Trail. The outing will begin with a short talk by Lavern Nelson, one of the re-discoverers of the marker from 1889. Two dogs will be allowed. Four-wheel-drive and high-clearance vehicles are needed. A climb of Corbett Peak northwest of Ouray will take place Tuesday. Expect steep, off-trail climbing on unstable terrain and some class 3 scrambling. Participants should wear orange. The Wednesday Wanderers will hike near Cascade Village at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The hike will begin behind the condos in Cascade Village. Nonmembers should RSVP to Tricia Bayless at 799-4535. Dogs on a leash will be allowed. The cost to carpool is $4.

An East Creek Trail hike will take place at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 2. East Creek trail head is located on the east side of Vallecito Reservoir. The hike is moderate to hard because of distance and rough trail. Dogs are not allowed. Participants will travel at a moderate pace. The cost to carpool is $5. The Seniors Outdoors Singles group will participate in a Chimney Rock Monument Early Tour of the Great Kiva trail at 4 p.m. Sunday, as well as the Full Moon Program at 6:15 p.m. with a total lunar eclipse. Participants must arrive before 5:45 p.m. when the gate closes. Reservations are needed at www.chimneyrockco.org/calendar.php. Carpooling is possible.
