Gun club helps hunters with scope sighting

Hunters can get rifle scopes sighted and minor firearms repairs during the Durango Gun Club’s “Sight-In Days.”

The Sight-Ins will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 18 and 31 and Nov. 1 at the club’s outdoor range on La Posta Road (County Road 213) south of Bodo Industrial Park.

Gun club staff and volunteer club members will answer questions, provide assistance and help with repairs.

With underwriting help from La Plata Electric Association, no payment is required, but donations to the club are welcome.

Because of road construction in the area, hunters will have to access the gun club from south La Posta Road.

For more information, call Joseph Perino at 749-3453.
