Rock climbing guide for Durango released

The latest rock climbing guide to the Durango area has been released.

The fifth edition of Durango Sandstone – The Save the Anchor Biner Edition is available at climbing stores and bookshops in Durango and elsewhere. The book features new maps, graphics and route descriptions including the newly established climbing routes north of Lemon Reservoir, Cascade Canyon, and East Animas.

Many recent routes at other areas are featured as well.

Seniors Outdoors announces events

Seniors Outdoors will host these events:

The Wednesday Wanders will hike Twin Buttes. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. Early turn-backs are not permitted unless people have a map and a working knowledge of the new trail system. Nonmembers should RSVP to Ray Walker at 382-7662.
