Divinity Flow Trail grand opening
In partnership with Purgatory Resort and the U.S. Forest Service, Trails 2000 announces the official grand opening of the new Divinity Flow Trail at Purgatory Resort on Sunday.
Trail enthusiasts are invited to visit the recently completed trail, Durango’s longest and only lift-served flow trail. Free mountain bike uplift will be provided from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m., including a ribbon cutting ceremony at the base of lift 4, the summer uplift, at 1 p.m. Attendees will be joined by athletes and mountain bike legends Todd Wells, Ned Overend, Greg Herbold, and Travis Brown to ride the new trail.
The trail opening is just one of the many activities held during Todd and Ned’s Durango Dirt Fondo, which officially takes place Saturday. Trails 2000 is a beneficiary of the Fondo event, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the 1990 World’s Mountain Bike Championship, originally held at Purgatory Resort. The Land Symposium will take place Friday, and registration is available on the Trails 2000 website.
