Seniors Outdoors is organizing a multitude of hikes, a road ride, and even a tennis clinic during the first week of July.
At 8 a.m. Saturday, there will be a easy to moderate 6-mile hike on the West Lime Creek Trail. Hikers should bring water and lunch. Carpooling is available for $5, and dogs are OK in your own car. RSVP to Kathy Schuetz at 769-3009 or krschuetz@gmail.com. At 8:30 a.m. Monday, there will be an intermediate ride for road cyclists from Home Depot to Bread and back. Meet by the Home Depot nursery slightly before 8:30 a.m to ensure on-time start. Helmets are required, and riders should contact group leader Helen Root at helen@northandroot.com or 505-320-3441.At 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, there will be a hike to Upper Elbert Creek with a scenic ridge-line view and an open meadow along the creek. Wildflowers are often blooming at this time of year. Carpooling is $5 and the group size limit is 18. Two well-behaved dogs are permitted.
