Archery program for beginners at Navajo
An archery workshop for beginners, 8-year-olds and up, including adults, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday at the Sambrito Wetlands area at Navajo State Park.
Instructors will be on hand to provide the training. People attending will learn the basics of archery safety, how to load arrows and how to shoot. Participants should bring a hat and water. To reach the Sambrito area, leave the main park entrance, turn left on Colorado Highway 151 and travel about 5 miles, turn left onto County Road 988 and continue to the parking lot.

A Monday bike ride for intermediate road cyclists will take place at 8:30 a.m. Monday. This is a no-drop, social ride of 16 miles round trip from Home Depot to Bread. The Seniors Outdoors general meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. “Water Sports: What’s Going Down the River?” will be presented by Tony Miley of Four Corners River Sports. Miley will talk about his experience with the local rivers, information on how to enjoy them and what’s available for fun on all waters.
