Skate ski clinic to be held Saturday
The Nordic Center at Purgatory will host a skate ski clinic for beginners at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The cost of the clinic is $20 for Nordic Center season pass holders or $25 for other skiers. Equipment rentals are available.

Fly Fishing Show Jan. 3-5 in Denver
The 13th annual Rocky Mountain Fly Fishing Show will run Jan. 3 to 5 in the Denver Mart Pavilion Building with 170 exhibitor booths displaying the latest tackle, clothing and fly-fishing accessories as well as destinations from Alaska to Argentina.
The show will include casting demonstrations and instruction, seminars and destination and adventure theater presentations. Trips for two to fly-fishing destinations will be given away as door prizes.
Coinciding with the show will be the International Fly Fishing Film Festival, which will debut seven feature and short films.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 3; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 4; and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 5.
Fly Fishing Show admission is $15 for one day, $25 for two days and $35 for three days with discounts for children, Scouts and military. It includes admission to the film festival. Film Festival-only admission is $15.
The Denver Mart Pavilion Building is at 451 E. 58th Ave. Parking is free.
