Parks and Wildlife to host public meeting
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking for the public’s help in developing the agency’s future. A meeting focusing on the agency’s 2015 Strategic Plan will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The agency is facing many management and wildlife challenges, including how to maintain big game, fisheries and watchable wildlife opportunities, and how to address wildlife habitat and species-of-concern. Long-term funding for the agency also is a major issue.
People who can’t attend the meeting can make comments at http://cpw.state.co.us/StrategicPlan. For more information, email, DNR_CPW_Planning@state.co.us, call (303) 869-1350 or write to Strategic Plan 2015, 1313 Sherman, Suite 618, Denver, CO 80203.
