Seniors Outdoors announces events

There will be a hike at 8 a.m. Saturday at Cascade Creek. Park by the flume on Cascade Creek and hike to the big waterfall. Group size limit is 15. Carpool costs are $4, and well behaved dogs are OK. A bicycle ride is planned from Home Depot to Bread at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Riders will meet in the south parking lot at Home Depot. Helmets required. The club will provide burgers, brats, buns and condiments. If you would like something to drink other than iced tea or lemonade, you may bring it for yourself. Bring your own table service and a dish for eight with a serving utensil. Since the club is providing the main course, please RSVP if you plan to attend. Please indicate if you would like a veggie burger. In addition to your potluck dish, please bring non-perishable food donations for the Durango Food Bank. This hike will begin in the Durango Hills area, accessed from County Road 240. The hike includes a wooded trail with some early wildflowers. This hike will be about 3½-3.75 hours total with an elevation gain of 1,200-1,500 feet. No dogs please. RSVP for non-members only.
