Registration open for run, bike event

Registration is open for the 20th annual Pueblo to Pueblo Run/Bike Event on April 26 by visiting www.cortezculturalcenter.org. This year’s event features a half marathon run, a 5K run/walk and a 50-mile bike event. The Pueblo to Pueblo Run symbolizes ancient and historical runs between communities and is a fundraiser for the Cortez Cultural Center.

Nordic Center to host Coke race

The Nordic Center at Purgatory will hold its last Coke race of this season Saturday.

There will be a Fat Tire Bike race of 15K and also Skate Ski races of 15K for adults with shorter distances for juniors.

The ski races will start at 10 a.m. and the bike race at 11 a.m. Registration is at the Nordic Center starting at 9 a.m. The cost of the race is $15 for adults and $8 for juniors. For more information, call 385-2144.

Seniors Outdoors announces events

Seniors Outdoors will host these events:

For Friday’s downhill skiing, call Bruce Rodman at 385-7899. Intermediate skiers, mostly on groomed slopes, should call John Montle at 769-6108 or Betsy Petersen at 259-5417. Skiers interested in skiing moguls, trees and racing NASTAR should call Jim Shadid at 884-4612.

An easy snowshoe is planned for Tuesday in the La Plata Mountains. To RSVP, call Rich Butler 403-3185 or email rbbutler54@gmail.com.

The Wednesday Wanderers will hike the Animas River Trail. No RSVP is required. Dogs must be on leash. For time and location changes, call Eric Pahlke at 247-1130.

Cross country or skate ski at Vallecito Lake East on Wednesday. Skiing will be at your own pace on groomed track. To RSVP, call David Wright at 259-5978 or email djwright001@gmail.com.
