Access to Oxbow Park and Preserve will be closed Monday, Oct. 7, for approximately three weeks. The closure is to allow for construction work on the new river access area. Access is expected to reopen on Oct. 25.
The Animas River can be accessed at 33rd Street and 29th Street during the closure. There is no public access to the river via East 36th Street or Silverton Street. Trespassing across private property is unlawful.
