Access to Oxbow Park and Preserve will be closed Thursday for about four weeks.
The closure will allow for construction work on the new river access area. The opening of access to Oxbow Park and Preserve will be announced and is currently anticipated for May 22.
The Animas River can be accessed at 33rd Street and 29th Street during the closure. There is no public access to the river via East 36th Street or Silverton Street. Trespassing across private property is unlawful.
