The Philanthropic Education Organization Chapter CS recently announced that Camren Cordell of Durango High School and Bridget Nistler of Bayfield High School are the 2017 recipients of the Dorothy Gore P.E.O. Scholarship. They will be awarded $1,000 each.
The two students were chosen for academic achievement, leadership ability, drive to create positive change and their dedication to their community.
Cordell plans to major in biochemistry and minor in Spanish, and Nistler plans to major in political science.
