Pancakes, parade and more highlight 4th of July in Bayfield

Even without fireworks, Wednesday will still be a big day in downtown Bayfield, with the following events scheduled:

7 to 10 a.m. Bayfield Lions Club pancake breakfast

8 to 10 a.m. Calvary Presbyterian Church pie and craft sale

10 a.m. Fourth of July parade

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Festivities in Joe Stephenson Park, with kids' activites, escape room, vendors, and live music by Tomyris.

11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pine River Rotary beer tent in the park.

Noon Serranos' annual horseshow tournament in Eagle Park

1 p.m. Corn hole tournaments in the Rotary beer tent.

Parking and a shuttle are available at the Bayfield Church or Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Bayfield Parkway. Handicap parking is at Bayfield Town Hall.

This year's events in Bayfield are sponsored by A to Z Electric, Lewis True-Value Mercantile, HDS Freight Services, First National Bank of Durango, LPEA, Southwest Ag, and the Wells Group.
