I recently read an article about the panhandling in Durango (Herald, May 17) and was almost tempted to cancel my plans to visit.
Glad I did not. My husband and I had a fabulous time visiting Durango and not once were we stopped by a panhandler.
Enjoyed shopping downtown, walking along the river and enjoyed the nightlife.
