Durango Parks and Recreation will host the 38th annual Arbor Day celebration at 10 a.m. Friday in the amphitheater at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
People are encouraged to attend and enjoy songs and skits by elementary school children. Ice cream and seedlings will be provided.
The ceremony will be held in the gymnasium at the recreation center in the event the weather does not support the event being held outside.
