Pawsh Pet Salon to continue offering grooming services

Retail products downsized
Getting a howl in, Krista Fogarty's dogs greet visitors at Pawsh Pet Salon in Bayfield.

Business at Pawsh Pet Salon has been growing steadily over the past four years, but the shop is reducing its retail offerings.

Owner Krista Fogarty thanks all of her customers for their support.

"We are still in business with full grooming services," she said. "I'm just not going to carry the full product lines at this time."

Fogarty said a relative has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and she needs to focus on her family now. Working six days a week has been a lot of hard work, she said.

All items are on sale, along with store fixtures, Fogarty said. Pawsh is located at 64 W. Mill St. in downtown Bayfield.

After Christmas, she will temporarily close her store and switch places with the business next door, she explained. The smaller space will be better for her grooming services. She will continued to carry some brands of dog food and treats, but not as many supplies as before.

She thanked Creature Comforts in Durango and Valley Feed and Ranch Supply in Gem Village for helping her during the transition, she added.

"Everyone has been very supportive," she said. "Thank you."
