The application for the Payroll Department’s $7,000 matching grants is now open. The deadline to apply is Feb. 12.
The Payroll Department partners with the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado to manage this grant opportunity for La Plata County nonprofits. Three “Meet your Match” grants are available for La Plata County organizations that support efforts in youth, environment or human services. The grant requires a 100% match of $7,000 from new revenue sources, such as new donors, grants or corporate sponsors, creating a $14,000 infusion for each selected organization. The required match is designed to motivate nonprofits to seek new funding sources in order to develop sustainable support.
The Payroll Department is especially interested in supporting programs or collaborations that further a nonprofit’s mission and may need a boost while the organization secures sustainable funding. This could be a new program or an expansion of services.
