Peace parade

The International Day of Peace – a day set aside by the General Assembly of the United Nations every year to promote “strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples” – occurred Sunday. Primary and secondary students as well as faculty gathered Friday afternoon at Bayfield Elementary School to link up in a human chain to form a giant peace sign to commemorate the event.
