Peak Health Alliance, a locally-run health insurance purchasing alliance operating in seven counties in Western Colorado, has announced the extension of the health insurance open enrollment deadline for Jan. 1 coverage to Friday, Dec. 18.
The extension was granted by the state’s health insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado.
People interested in Jan. 1 coverage can explore Summit, Grand and Lake county plan features at www.peakhealthalliance.org or www.southwesthealthalliance.org, if they live in La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores or San Juan counties.
Enrollment and financial assistance may be finalized at www.connectforhealthco.com or through a broker if financial aid isn’t needed.
After Dec. 18, an additional month of open enrollment will be available for plans that will start Feb. 1.
