Pennies’ language is poignant reminder

Regarding the annoying, worthless, stupid qualities of pennies (Herald, Oct. 19), I love them. Each time I pick up a dirty, sticky, icky copper coin from the sidewalk, street, etc., I read the words on the front of the coin: “In God we Trust.” That is a poignant reminder to me that those few precious words may soon disappear from our currency. Sad.
